The Table That Almost Wasn’t  table

This table emerged from an exploration into sheet metal folding as a means to create a refined and functional work surface. Constructed entirely from aluminium sheet, it comprises just three die-cut components—two legs and a top—each folded and bolted together to form the structure.

Despite its robustness, the table has an extremely light appearance, with edges that are either 3mm thin or folded to 40mm for strength. The exposed die-cut forms proudly reveal the material’s true thickness, lending the design clarity, character, and subtle detail.
Finished in a single-colour powder coat, the material becomes visually secondary, allowing the form and geometry to take centre stage.
